Her contribution to early childhood education is an enduring legacy and she has done so much to raise the recognition of art and the role of the artilier. Kate’s legacy is strength to us all.

In memory of Kate, one Little Varley Girl, whose beauty, energy and talent we shall always remember and with thoughts of her fine parents, Jannie and Dick Varley.

A modest tribute for a lady who made a big impact. Rest in peace.

In honour of my dear cousin, who'll be greatly missed

Like others, I am grateful to have received Kate's kindness & appreciation. Kate's colourful creativity inspired curiosity & wonder in young students' learning. Kate's legacy will continue to inspire others through the high standard set by an amazing atelierista.

In honour of our beautiful Kate, who brought love, joy and Colour to all our lives. May we all continue to look for Colour in our everyday life and be reminded of Kate.

Kate was a remarkable friend and will be dearly missed.

We we're so sorry to hear of Kate's passing and are thinking of her loved ones - especially Lily, Ted and Stuart. From Bella - I have lots of fond memories of Kate from the many days I spent at their home playing with Lily when we we're in primary school together. Kate was always fun, kind, bright and colourful.

Beyond the rainbow. It is easy to be deceived by the radiancy of the aura. The colour, the warmth and the glow? But look beyond the obvious The superficial. Don’t you see the flowers turn to her against the dark. And why no shadows appear. Don’t mistake her for the prism that splits the light. As though the source of the rainbow. Nay – you have been deceived. Can’t you see the Angels cheer with delight. She is not colour. She is the light.

Our deep sympathy to you all. To me Kate was a gift of vitality, warmth, light and, indeed, colour in happy and darker times. The world is a better place for her being in it.

You’ll forever be loved and missed. Kate was the most vibrant, bubbly, beautiful, and caring person I’ve known 🩷
