CHF is a proud alliance partner of Hospitals United for Sick Kids
What is Hospitals United for Sick Kids?
We are so proud to be partnering with Hospitals United For Sick Kids - a joint fundraising initiative started in 2019 that supports children's hospitals, foundations and paediatric services across Australia together.
Money raised goes towards reducing the disruption being in hospital can have on children and their families by investing in the latest research, treatments, programs and equipment, to get them home more quickly.
Your support helps to raise funds for paediatric patients who are receiving care at the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children, through Canberra Health Services.
How You Can Help
- Buy any product with Hospitals United for Sick Kids signage. Every purchase contributes 50 cents to Hospitals United for Sick Kids.
- Buy a jar of Mum's Sauce or any of the 170 plus participating Coles products throughout the store and make simple swaps to choose items that give back.
- Donate OR round up at any register at a Coles supermarket across the ACT
- Spread the word and encourage others to fill their baskets with products that support the cause.
What's the impact of your support?
Funds raised in the ACT will enable Canberra Hospitals Foundation to support a new programme in which therapy dogs provide emotional support, reduce anxiety and are a welcomed distraction for children receiving care at the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children, with a special focus on children presenting with mental health issues.
Funds raised in previous years have already helped deliver important resources for young patients and their families, including distractive therapy items such as Smileyscopes and distraction items for a sensory trolley, helping make hospital visits less stressful for children.
Your support helps kids of the Centenary Hospital for Women, Youth and Children be kids first, and patients later.
Hospitals United for Sick Kids brings together a national alliance of 8 hospitals for children, foundations and paediatric services to help sick kids on their journey home to the things they miss.
They are committed to reducing the disruption being in hospital can have on children and their families by investing in the latest research, treatments, programs and equipment to decrease the amount of time they are away from the familiarity and comforts of everyday life.
